Hurricane Milton: City Monitoring Roads, Residents Advised Caution
Staff Report / PSLlocal.org
Public Works and the Port St. Lucie Police Department are monitoring roadways for flooding as Hurricane Milton approaches. The City of Port St. Lucie is advising residents to stay off the roads unless necessary for safety.
In preparation for the storm, the City has already evaluated and addressed potholes on major roadways to minimize traffic hazards. Pothole repairs will continue as weather allows prior to the storm's arrival.
During the storm, residents are instructed to report any potholes or roadway hazards, including non-functioning traffic signals, by calling 911. After the storm has passed, residents can report potholes through the 1PSL customer service system at 772-871-1775 or via the 1PSL app. Other significant traffic hazards, such as malfunctioning traffic signals, should also be reported by calling 911.
