Staff Report / PSLlocal.org
**Port St. Lucie Solid Waste Services Adjusted Due to Hurricane Milton**
Port St. Lucie, FL – FCC Environmental Services, the city's solid waste hauler, was active this morning to ensure waste collection service for Wednesday customers ahead of Hurricane Milton. Residents are reminded that due to the hurricane, trash, recycling, yard waste, and bulk waste should not be placed out for collection on Thursday.
Collection services will be adjusted as follows:
- Thursday’s customers will have their waste picked up on Friday, October 11.
- Friday’s customers will have their waste picked up on Saturday, October 12.
The Convenient Drop-Off Center located on Cameo Boulevard is closed today and will continue to be closed on Wednesday and Thursday. This closure is necessary to prepare for potential debris cleanup after the storm.
Residents are advised to avoid the following during this period:
- Trimming any vegetation
- Starting new construction projects
- Placing piles of debris curbside, as collection services may be suspended
- Engaging in activities that could generate bulk waste
For ongoing updates and information about waste services during the storm, residents are encouraged to monitor the city’s website. More information about severe weather waste management can be found at www.cityofpsl.com/solidwaste and updates regarding Hurricane Milton can be accessed at www.cityofpsl.com/milton.
For further inquiries, residents can also contact FCC Environmental Services at 772-871-1775.
