Steps for Hurricane Milton Recovery in St. Lucie

Residents of St. Lucie County affected by Hurricane Milton are urged to follow these steps for recovery:

**Step 1: File a Claim with Your Insurance**

Homeowners and renters should begin the recovery process by filing a claim with their insurance provider.

**Step 2: Apply for FEMA’s Individual Assistance**

Individuals and households can seek financial and direct assistance through FEMA. There are four ways to apply:

- **Online:** Visit [disasterassistance.gov](https://disasterassistance.gov).

- **Phone:** Call 800-621-3362 from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.

- **In-Person:** A Multi-Resource Agency Center has been set up at the Havert L. Fenn Center, located at 2000 Virginia Ave. in Fort Pierce. This center is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Residents should bring proof of address. On-site organizations include Hope Navigators, Florida Department of Health, and others. The State Emergency Response Team will provide a limited number of tarps to residents.

- **Mobile App:** Download the FEMA mobile app available on Apple and Android devices.

**Step 3: Contact the Red Cross**

For additional support, residents can reach out to the Red Cross. They can contact them online at [redcross.org](http://www.redcross.org) or call 800-RED CROSS (800-733-2767).

**Step 4: Contact Activate Hope Disaster**
