The City of Port St. Lucie has initiated a COVID-19 Small Business Grant Program to assist local businesses that have been financially impacted by the pandemic. This program is a collaboration with the Florida Small Business Development Center at Indian River State College.

Businesses that meet eligibility criteria can apply for a reimbursement grant of up to $10,000. The funds can be used for various business expenses, including mortgage or rent payments, utility costs, insurance premiums, expenses related to reopening, costs for safety measures, and payroll incurred during closures.

Funding for the grant program was provided by FloridaCommerce through the Community Development Block Grant Coronavirus Program.

The application deadline for the grant is set for 5 p.m. on Friday, December 6. Interested businesses can find more information and apply at the City of Port St. Lucie's official website.
